Il Vecchio Ippocastano was born from the complete restoration of a noble residence, completed by the Franceschini family in the summer of 2023. An earthquake-resistant wooden structure, eight fully independent apartments, reclaimed materials and handcrafted furnishings create warm and welcoming atmospheres. A Country House where you can rediscover your own rhythm, surrounded by the pure air of Avendita at 900 meters above sea level. Here there are no noises except those of nature, no schedules except the ones you choose.

Il Vecchio Ippocastano features eight apartments spread over two floors, each named after an animal and inspired by a meaning that defines its character: from the jewel of the Country House with a double bedroom and view over the little square, to the more intimate options on the ground floor with a private garden. Every space is designed to ensure complete independence, with a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals, furnishings that blend reclaimed materials with handcrafted pieces, and carefully selected colors that create warm, welcoming atmospheres. Here you live at your own pace, cook whenever you wish, and rest without schedules: the freedom to feel the Country House as your own home, choosing the apartment that best suits your needs.

Enchanting Place
I stayed for two nights, after a holiday at the sea, for a short visit to Umbria. If you want to rejuvenate, you must stay in this enchanting place. Very spacious apartment and excellent cleanliness, great breakfast. Just one thing, for me, that could be improved: the lighting is too dim. But everything else is perfect.

Beautifully renovated and very comfortable country house set in a landscaped garden full of lavender. The pool is much appreciated after a hot day of touring. Good breakfast, excellent hosts, free parking. Strategic location to explore nearby attractions such as Norcia, Spoleto, and Castelluccio di Norcia.
